Testimonials: Why You Need 'Em

Less than a year post-launch one of my clients Health Has No Finish Line reached back out to me for site updates. Her nutritional coaching business was taking off and she was being flooded with amazing reviews about her services. Because she is a person-to-person coach, these were coming to her in the form of texts, emails, and surveys.

Design and Dimension

Adding quotes to your site gives it a bit more dimension. The nature of a quote is just a small bit of information, much different than a headline or a body of text. Sprinkling this into the homepage of your site really adds an interesting element of design to help break up the page, especially for people scrolling on their phones.

Key Phrases

Collecting real life testimonials from your clients (even if they are text message or emails) allows for you to see patterns in the words they are using. This is valuable marketing research that you can use on your site! For example, if you’re hearing a lot of your customers use the word “luminous,” you may consider using that in your next sales campaign. Or you may use it as a theme of your next email, newsletter, or blog post.

Builds Trust

When other people see that you are reliable and can deliver, they will want to work with you too. It’s the basis of platforms like Yelp and Google Reviews. WE ALL READ REVIEWS. We all want to know before we commit, and the internet makes this possible. Get on the bandwagon and use it to your advantage.
