Told in “tiny and tidy” packages of 17 syllables, Kristen Lem narrates in haiku form accompanied by “whimsical and minimal” illustrations by Molly Ha. This collaboration takes an economical approach to a rich subject and hopes to give the reader something to hold on to when love – as it often does – slips away.
Let us not be so quick to say “fetish” and “my culture is not your costume.” A society living in fear of offending, lives also in fear of expression. Let us find a larger meaning before we find offense.
